Initially this blog was created while we were on our big OE (overseas experience) in Australia and New Zealand in order to share this great adventure with family and friends back home.
Now we are back home again. But the end of Australia and New Zealand was not the end of our backpacking life - rather it is the beginning of a new chapter!
In future you will find four different categories in this blog: An eye on... where we will share information about countries and cities we've visited. In Checked in... you will find information about different pubs, clubs, restaurants and hostels we stayed at, Backpacker tales are funny, crazy, bizarre or or any other personal travel stories from people from all over the world. As we want to keep this blog as insteresting as possible we encourage everyone to send us their personal travel stories. And in Wicked! you find random stuff about the backpacking life. So as you can see, there is something for everyone!
The Team

Our team consists of two people: me and my best friend Monika. Monika and I met at Innsbruck School of Management where we both studied business studies and specilized in marketing.
From the very beginning, Monika and I shared a lot of interests, but the one that connected us the most was the desire to travel all over the world. Unlike most other people we enjoy the joys of backpacking: sleeping in budget accommodations with ten other people in the same room (or on a couch provided by a nice local), living on cereals and toast for weeks, living out of a big backpack and living for the moment instead of worrying about tomorrow.
Our second common interest was the desire to see one particular country: AUSTRALIA. As soon as we figured that out an idea was born. After graduation we wanted to travel Australia and New Zealand. And that's what we did! And, let me put it that wey: we had the time of our lives!
